Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup M&M candies

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the M&M candies until they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each cookie.
  • Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still slightly soft.
  • Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For an extra indulgent touch, you can add 1 cup of chocolate chips to the cookie dough along with the M&M candies.
  • To achieve a soft center, be careful not to overbake the cookies. They will continue to set as they cool on the baking sheet.
  • You can customize the cookies by using different varieties of M&M candies, such as peanut or almond M&Ms, to suit your taste.
