Slow Cooker Spaghetti

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 6 cups spaghetti sauce use homemade or your favorite store-bought variety
  • 3 cups chicken stock or beef stock
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 lb dry spaghetti avoid using whole wheat pasta
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese optional
  • 4 oz cream cheese optional

Instructions
 

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks. Once fully cooked, drain off any excess grease.
  • Lightly coat the bottom of a 6-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Pour in the chicken stock and spaghetti sauce, then add the basil, oregano, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Stir well to combine, then add the cooked and drained beef.
  • Add the uncooked spaghetti to the slow cooker. Gently stir and press the noodles down so they are fully submerged in the liquid.
  • Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or on high for 2 hours.
  • Stir the spaghetti thoroughly. If using, add the cream cheese and Parmesan, stirring until both are fully melted and incorporated.
