Salted Caramel Pretzel Bars

Ingredients
  

  • 12- ounce package of semi-sweet chocolate chips or high-quality chocolate, such as Ghirardelli, chopped into pieces for melting
  • 8 ounces mini pretzel twists about half of a standard 16-ounce bag
  • 11- ounce bag of Kraft Caramel Bits or homemade caramel
  • Sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions
 

  • Line a large, rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Melt 8 ounces of the chocolate chips in the microwave on low heat, stirring every 15 seconds, until smooth.
  • Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the parchment paper. Immediately place the pretzel twists on top (it's fine if they overlap!) and gently press them into the chocolate.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, add the caramel bits and 2 tablespoons of water, then melt according to the package instructions (typically on high for 2 minutes). Stir well and drizzle the melted caramel over the pretzels.
  • Melt the remaining 4 ounces of chocolate and drizzle it over the caramel layer. Finish by sprinkling with sea salt.
  • Refrigerate until the mixture has hardened.
  • Once set, cut or tear into pieces and enjoy!
