Peach Smoothie

The Peach Smoothie is a delicious and refreshing drink made with ripe peaches and yogurt, perfect for a healthy boost any time of day. Easy to customize and packed with nutrients, it’s a favorite for those seeking a tasty and nutritious option.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chopped fresh or frozen peaches
  • 1/2 cup coconut yogurt
  • 1/2 cup almond milk or any milk of your choice
  • 1 tablespoon agave or maple syrup optional, for extra sweetness
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A handful of ice cubes if using fresh peaches
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flaxseeds for additional nutrition

Instructions

Prepare the Ingredients:

  • If using fresh peaches, peel and chop them into chunks. For a colder smoothie, consider using frozen peaches, which will eliminate the need for ice.

Blend the Smoothie:

  • In a blender, combine the peaches, yogurt, almond milk, maple or agave syrup (if using), vanilla extract, and ice cubes (if using fresh peaches). For added nutrition, feel free to include chia seeds or flaxseeds.

Blend Until Smooth:

  • Blend on high speed until all ingredients are thoroughly combined and the mixture is smooth and creamy. You may need to pause and scrape down the sides of the blender to ensure everything is fully blended.

Taste and Adjust:

  • Taste your smoothie and adjust the sweetness if necessary by adding more agave or maple syrup. Blend briefly again to mix in any additional sweetener.

Serve Immediately:

  • Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy right away for the best flavor and texture. Garnish with a slice of peach or a sprinkle of chia seeds for an appealing presentation.
  • Don’t forget to try my tip of freezing it and then blending the frozen peach smoothie ice cubes for a slushy consistency!

Notes

Ripeness Matters: For optimal flavor, choose ripe peaches. If they’re out of season, frozen peaches serve as an excellent alternative.
Creaminess: Adjust the quantity of yogurt and milk according to your desired smoothie consistency. Use less milk for a thicker smoothie or add more for a thinner texture.
Add-Ins: Don’t hesitate to incorporate other fruits like berries or bananas for a flavor twist. You can also add a handful of spinach for a green smoothie that still tastes amazing!
