Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Sandwiches
Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Sandwiches combine the creamy richness of cheesecake, the sweetness of strawberries, and the crispy comfort of pan-fried bread into one unforgettable dessert. Perfect for special occasions or treating yourself to something truly indulgent.
Total Time 20 minutes mins
- 8 slices of brioche or challah bread
- 4 oz cream cheese softened
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar plus extra for dusting
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries sliced
- 1/4 cup strawberry jam
- 2 large eggs
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 2 tablespoons butter for frying
In a small bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar. Mix until the texture is smooth and creamy.
Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over one side of four slices of bread. Top each with a layer of sliced strawberries and a spoonful of strawberry jam. Place the remaining bread slices on top to form sandwiches.
In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined.
Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides thoroughly.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the sandwiches and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
Transfer the sandwiches to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess butter. Dust with powdered sugar just before serving.
