Croissant Pizza Crust

Ingredients
  

  • 1 sheet of Pillsbury crescent dough
  • ½ cup of pizza sauce
  • cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices
  • Non-stick cooking spray
  • 1 tablespoon cornmeal

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375ºF. Lightly coat a half sheet pan with non-stick cooking spray, then sprinkle 1 tablespoon of cornmeal evenly across the surface. Set the pan aside.
  • Unroll the Pillsbury crescent dough sheet and gently press it into the prepared baking pan to cover the bottom. Place the pan in the oven and bake the dough for 5 minutes to partially cook the crust.
  • Take the pan out of the oven and evenly spread ½ cup of pizza sauce over the partially baked crust. Sprinkle 1½ cups of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, then arrange 1 cup of pepperoni slices evenly on top.
  • Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 13 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven, slice, and serve warm.
