Crock Pot Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta

Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds Chicken Breasts
  • 2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 4 cups Chicken Broth
  • 4 Tablespoons Butter
  • 2 Tablespoons Cajun Seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 pound Penne Pasta
  • 1 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese

Instructions
 

  • Place the chicken, heavy whipping cream, chicken broth, butter, garlic powder, and Cajun seasoning into a 6-quart crock pot.
  • Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked with an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
  • Remove the chicken from the crock pot and shred or chop it into large chunks.
  • Whisk the sauce remaining in the crock pot. Add the chicken back into the crock pot and stir in the uncooked pasta.
  • Cover and cook on high for 20 to 30 minutes, until the pasta is tender and thoroughly cooked.
  • Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, cover, and let it sit for 5 minutes to melt the cheese.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

 
If you prefer a milder flavor, cut the amount of Cajun seasoning in this recipe by half.
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days
