Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 28 oz jar of spaghetti sauce
  • 1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • A pinch of garlic salt
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package directions until al dente, about 12 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain well and set aside.
  • While the pasta cooks, heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, stirring frequently, until browned and crumbly, about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain any excess fat, then stir in the spaghetti sauce and simmer briefly to combine.
  • In a large bowl, combine the hot, drained spaghetti with the softened cream cheese, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of garlic salt. Stir until the cream cheese melts and evenly coats the pasta.
  • Spoon a thin layer of the meat sauce into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Add the cream cheese-coated spaghetti over the sauce, then spread the remaining meat sauce on top. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan and shredded mozzarella.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, or until hot and bubbly. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
