Cuisine American
- 1 pound 85% lean ground beef
- 3 tablespoons chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped garlic
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Montreal-style steak seasoning
- 2 tablespoons butter softened (or as needed)
- 6 slices white bread
- 6 slices Colby-Jack cheese
Prepare the Patties:
In a bowl, combine the ground beef, parsley, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and steak seasoning.
Mix until thoroughly combined.
Form the mixture into three equal patties.
Cook the Burgers:
Heat a nonstick griddle or skillet over medium heat.
Place the patties on the griddle and cook to your desired doneness, about 4 to 6 minutes per side.
Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches at least 160°F (71°C).
Once cooked, remove the burgers from the griddle and set aside.
Prepare the Grilled Cheese:
Warm a second griddle over medium heat.
Butter one side of each slice of bread.
Place half of the bread slices, buttered-side down, on the griddle.
Top each slice with a slice of cheese, a burger, and a second slice of cheese.
Place the remaining slices of bread on top, buttered-side up.
Grill the Sandwiches:
Cook the sandwiches until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 6 to 10 minutes.
Flip the sandwiches halfway through to ensure even browning.
- Cooking Tip: You can adjust the cooking time based on how well-done you prefer your burgers.
- Optional Add-ins: Consider adding extra toppings like pickles, lettuce, or tomato for a more traditional burger experience.
