Prep Time 4 minutes mins
Cook Time 25 minutes mins
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- ½ cup diced medium onion
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 3 cups beef broth
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 3 cups dry bowtie pasta farfalle
- 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Garnish optional: fresh parsley and additional cheese
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with the diced onions and minced garlic until the beef is fully browned and no longer pink. Stir constantly to break the meat into crumbles. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Next, pour in the beef broth and heavy cream, then add the bowtie pasta. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer.
Cover the skillet and let it simmer for 10 to 12 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking, until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed.
Lower the heat to low, then add the shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until the cheese is melted and everything is well combined. Serve warm. For an optional garnish, sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley and a little extra cheese. Enjoy!
