Cajun Sausage Pasta

Ingredients
  

  • 14 oz of smoked sausage sliced into small pieces (I prefer jalapeno cheddar sausage)
  • 12 oz of pasta I use Rotini
  • 2 cups of heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions
 

  • Cook the pasta according to the package instructions, then drain and set it aside.
  • In a medium skillet, add the sausage slices and cook over medium heat for about 5–8 minutes, or until they turn golden brown.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and add the Cajun seasoning, stirring to combine.
  • Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 4 minutes, or until it thickens slightly.
  • Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese.
  • Add the cooked pasta and toss everything together to coat evenly.
  • Serve and enjoy!
