Ingredients
  

  • 2 apples cored and chopped
  • 1 ½ cups unsweetened milk of choice
  • ½ cup vanilla Greek yogurt or plain
  • 1 teaspoon apple pie spice or cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey optional, to sweeten
  • ½ cup ice cubes
  • Optional toppings:
  • Whipped cream
  • Apple slices
  • Cinnamon sticks
  • Ground cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Blend all the ingredients in a high-speed blender until smooth. If you prefer a thicker smoothie, add more ice. Taste the mixture and incorporate additional maple syrup or honey if you desire more sweetness. Pour the smoothie into two glasses and garnish with the optional toppings. Enjoy!

Notes

You can use your favorite variety of apples for this recipe; I recommend sweeter options like Gala or Honeycrisp for the best flavor in this smoothie. We use Greek yogurt in this recipe because it’s thicker and higher in protein, making the smoothie extra creamy and filling. You can opt for vanilla Greek yogurt, plain yogurt, or even your preferred non-dairy yogurt, although the smoothie may not be as creamy. To add sweetness, you can use honey, maple syrup, agave syrup, or similar options. If you’re using vanilla yogurt, you might not need any additional sweetener at all—just taste and adjust the sweetness to your preference.
